About Tyrrelstown Montessori

Having worked together as Montessori teachers Caroline Byrne and Christine Fitzsimons dreamed to operate their own service. In 2012 their dreams came true when they opened up Tyrrelstown Montessori conveniently located in Tyrrelstown shopping centre. There is ample parking for parents to drop off and collect their children safely, located at the rear of our facility. There are 5 fully qualified staff on the premises at all times.

​We pride ourselves on having created an extensive curriculum based on the teaching methods of Maria Montessori.  Our pupils are educated in a relaxed, structured, stimulating environment where each child is educated at his/her own pace with particular emphasis on the child’s individual needs and interests.  We offer a wide variety of developmentally appropriate activities and materials to the children.

Our job is to help the children to grow independently and develop physically, intellectually, linguistically and socially.  We value parents as their children’s primary educators, therefore partnerships with parents is essential within the day to day running of our service.  We strive to be a bridge between home and school providing a warm loving environment for the children’s first experience outside the home and family.
